Solution(a) find breakthrough time
answer: 967days Widbt=qid*tbt
Npdbt = Widbt = (average Swbt-Swi) = qid * tbt
(b) Estimate time and Cumulative water needed to recover 80% of oil
Answer: 3204days & 3.844949MMbbl of water
first, determine amount of Npd for 100% and 80% recoverable oil
100% of recoverable oil
Npd = (1-Sor-Swi)
80% recoverable oil = 0.8 * Npd
Second, we find Sw at 80% oil recovered
Npd = (Sw-Swi)
thirdly, we apply equation below to find Wid
Npd = (Swe-Swi) + (1- fw@Swe)*Wid
fourth, find the time needed to recover 80% of oil
tbt = cumulative water injected divided by injection rate
(c) Plot average saturation vs cumulative water, injected from t=0 until abandonment
As the water displacing from t=0 until abandonment, we can separate our calculation into 2 portions.
